I wouldn't call Yamcha a rival of Goku... Goku's first rival was Tien, then Piccolo and then Vegeta, but Krillin or Yamcha... Nah, wouldn't say so... They quickly come to terms with the fact that he's stronger than they are, whereas Tien, Piccolo and Vegeta all spend years trying to surpass him (though only Piccolo and Vegeta succeed at times).

Me too TimothyJamesF I LOVE Yamcha's long-haired better but when Yamcha had joned with Kid Goku, Bulma and kid Krilin his hair was not long-haired, it's short-haired i didn't like that when Yamcha cut his long-haired that was more cute.

He changed his hair the most out of all the characters I think and what was crazy was that each hair change signified slight changes to his personality too, confidence, love, etc.
His life was a roller coaster and that's why he stuck around.

I love Yamcha the best, he's so hot in the first program of ''Dragon Ball'' wearing his old bandit clothes better. Yamcha had long hair before when he met kid Goku in the 5th episode ''Yamcha The Desert Bandit'' and i also his companion Pu'ar he's cute and Yamcha loved girls more than stealings things in the desert, anway great job TimothyJamesF I LOVE it very much.

i like yamcha i thing after dragonball he should have still been one of the main characters like in dragonball not only is he goku's rival but he is one the the first characters and i have always liked yamcha so again great job i love it *favs* ^_^

Yeah, Yamcha got pushed to the side pretty quickly, I knew he was slipping ever since he fought Tenshinhan. When he died against the Saibamen, I thought that was it for him, but he came back to fight the androids and almost died again! Still he remained consistantly enjoyable to read when he did show up, he knew his limits as a human.
