So yeh, now I'm back to looking for "normal" jobs while also trying to keep an eye on the local studios to see if anything comes up in the area I actually want to be in. Though I did manage to swing a paid freelance gig recently, so that was neat.

But still, it's weird feeling like you've taken both a step forward and a step backward at the same time. Like yeh, I've now been paid on pretty much professional terms (factoring out a few technicalities), but the main step forward still feels like it's on shaky ground even though I am taking steps towards it. I'm in touch with a studio and learning ToonBoom for them, so fingers crossed...
