Yeh, we had a dusting of snow here in Northampton on Boxing Day, luckily not enough to noticeably effect the internet or anything.

Trust me, SAVE FOR AND IPAD. Kindles are pretty weak-willed creatures, mine barely lasted a year before it gave up on me (although the puddle incident didn't really help)

Where I'm living right now is that kind of strange. The router is on one side of the house and my room and main computer is on the other. When my roommate and his kids are watching Netflix or playing a game, my connection goes in and out more than a sewing needle.

'S probably a case of network interference combined with bandwidth use in your case. Might be a similar situation with me - it's been getting steadily worse as people have moved back in.

Have you checked for witches?
It's a little-known (some claim entirely unknown!) fact that witchcraft and sorcery account for 92% of all higher technology problems.
I advise making a list of people you don't especially like andΒ making crazy accusationsΒ at them until your wireless gets better. Or you get turned into an amphibian. Not gonna lie, that's a risk here.

timsplosion In reply to SFaccountant [2014-09-15 15:27:07 +0000 UTC]
I've consulted the local witchery, and apparently there aren't any witches in the area at the moment.
π: 0 β©: 1
SFaccountant In reply to timsplosion [2014-09-15 15:44:36 +0000 UTC]
Logical flaw: if you have a local witchery, then that automatically implies that it serves and/or hosts witches in your area.
You are being LIED to, sir. And why would they lie to you? To get you off the trail!
You may have to take advanced steps now. Accusations will no longer cut it. Only purification byΒ fire can save your internet now.
... Or you can just keep to that one good spot you found.
π: 0 β©: 1
timsplosion In reply to SFaccountant [2014-09-15 17:56:22 +0000 UTC]
No, the witchery keeps tabs on witches for the community. Maybe that's not how they are in America, but that's what you get for privatising everything.
And yeh, I'm basically just gonna keep my interneting to the bed side of the room.

timsplosion In reply to SFaccountant [2014-09-15 19:10:18 +0000 UTC]
They are, and yet somehow manage to run at half the cost of your own. Honestly, don't you think that the cost of de-witching a home being the number 3 cause of bankruptcy's in the US is a little ridiculous? I swear, having the profit motive meddle with vital public services only makes them less efficient...
π: 0 β©: 1
SFaccountant In reply to timsplosion [2014-09-16 01:05:33 +0000 UTC]
Bah! Bah, I say! I won't be taken in by your socialist lies!
I can have my enemies cursed for a fraction of the cost of a European hex!
The exorbitant cost of DE-witching is clearly a result of over-regulation strangling new entrants into the market! There's no competition!

timsplosion In reply to SFaccountant [2014-09-16 07:14:44 +0000 UTC]
See and that's another thing, maybe if your country had better wand control laws, you'd have less mass toad-ing incidents. The cost of turning frogs back into people is insane, and is always levied on the government anyway. Honestly, I doubt your founding fathers would have included "the right to bear wands" in the constitution if they could see what can be done with them today.
