The Lourd-class Landship was introduced in the 11th years in the War Against the Invaders. The Lourd-class was the replacement of the Sil'nyy-class though, in practice, the Lourd-class merely became commanding units fro groups of Sil'nyy-class landships. This was in part due to the success, popularity, and effectiveness of the Sil'nyy-class, but also in part due to the slow production speed for the Lourd-class. The Lourd-class was by far the largest landship built during its time, and incorporated advanced and experimental systems such as dual gun mounts for the main guns, more compact engines as well as a better quality interior. All in all the Lourd-class didn't replace the Sil'nyy-class but instead joined it in battle. After some teething issues were ground out, the Lourd-class began to show its self as an effective, yet large, battle machine.
