One must come to realize that the Eccentrix are not just about killing things. Their adventures just don't involve in constantly slaying monsters and evil people. A big part of their job is not ending life, but giving life where none exists. In a desert with water stealing bandits, the most important thing isn't just beating up the bandits, but replenishing the water, making the land fertile again! And that's what people like Nereyda set out to do.

Being able to conjure water via magic is a specialty of hers. Whether it's just a light drizzle, or a freakin' torrent, she's great at replenishing water where it's depleted. Before, this was relatively hard to do, because she was surrounded by many more malevolent elementals and magical folk. Before, she could only be the River Spirit which occasionally rose from the rivers to give water to people, only to disappear for a better part of the year as fire and earth elementals ran around.

It was the Eccentrix that finally put an end to it by stomping out those evil fires. Once they found her, they gave her the perfect opportunity to do her stuff just as she intends to. At long last, she doesn't have to hide away her abilities from the more destructive beings...she can let the fighters do the hard part, and then allow her water generation to take it from there.
