Description OK, Imma make this one relatively quick, but had to get a pic of this one cuz I like this one! But MAN if this didn't prove that sometimes, the Foundation SUUUUUUUUUCKS. Morally. Not conceptually. I know it's for a good reason and all but uh....did you HAVE to put Hydrochloric Acid into her body? That is NOT cool.

What is it?

This gal is actually a kind of water elemental entity made entirely of water, shaped like a lady. She can shapeshift easily, from a puddle of water into a nymph on a dime, blend in perfectly with normal water, and remain out of water for some time before having to go back. Although, she is vulnerable to evaporation if left out for long enough, and becomes withdrawn and inactive if she's left out for too long, to prevent dehydrating anymore (Experiment one). Her energy levels are dependent on the temperature outside. I.e. hot weather makes her energetic, becoming irritable and aggressive if it's TOO hot, cold weather makes her sluggish and lethargic, even more so if she's being frozen solid. (Experiment 2). It's adept at memorizing, and problem solving, albeit becomes distressed if her motivation is electric shocks and silica gel (Experiment 3). AND....it does best if its water is not polluted with excessive chemicals. It absolutely will not stand for straight up having a hazardous substance put into its body, and will dispose of it by stuffing the said substance in YOUR body if you do so. This case, being Hydrochloric Acid. (Experiment 4).

The data of this incident got expunged, but I'm PRETTY sure it involved in melting out the doctor's eyeballs and parts of his brain with the acid. Yeesh....

As a result of this tomfoolery....the Water Nymph (let's nickname her Aquamarine) was stuck for the longest time with a complete and utter distrust for men, which made up most of the Foundation staff. Only feeling comfortable with women. After that, its testing was rightfully halted, ensuring that at least for now, it won't have to put up with this cruel crap anymore. Jerks....

What would THEY do?

Well, the Foundation wasn't gonna use it anymore anyway. Although to be fair, the Foundation existed QUITE a bit earlier than the Eccentri-City, which was a thing that developed relatively recently. And to good effect too, thanks to King Norb.

Norb knew she wouldn't come immediately due to her distrust for men, so he simply had various women from his city come in to chat with her for a bit. NOTE, Aquamarine doesn't exactly talk, the closest she can get to that is a really whisper-y kind of speech, but she prefers to use body language instead.

ANYWAY, the women from his city come in regularly to chat it up with her, and almost every time they bring up their hometown. Telling Aquamarine so many things about it, the one detail standing out is that it's a place in the world made for people such as her. The people there are EXTREMELY variable in nature, rendering almost any attempt at discrimination moot, since few things fit exactly into designated categorizations.

This includes men. Most of which over there act NOTHING like the SCP Staff. Most of them look different, act different, and most of all, they don't have a problem living alongside people like her.

It took a few visits until she eventually gave and decided to give it a try. Her built residence being an ornate, dragon-shaped water fountain whose waterway seems to be connected to other parts of the city. Her closest neighbor being another woman-shaped water elemental, Nereyda. About Nereyda...little was known about her before because she spent most of her life in solitude, just being there to ward off fire elementals. All that time in the front lines made her very lonely beforehand. So upon meeting Aquamarine, BOTH of them had finally begun to open up. Aquamarine becoming accustomed to the wild variability of the city, and all the people and creatures inhabiting it...Nereyda finally having a neighbor and a friend to live besides.Β

To her surprise, none of the guys had an interest in putting Hydrochloric Acid in her either. No doubt, she's still kind of wary at them at first, but if they prove themselves to NOT be men of science, she eases up quite a lot. And by George....those waterways that lead into people's sinks make for great early morning pranking. I.e. smacking someone who's groggy and half asleep while they're about to wash their face. XD

Trying to figure out how she works doesn’t justify torturing her

She looks lovely.
I like the name you gave her. "Aquamarine", I gave her the name "Marina".

Aw thank you so much!

I was kinda thinking Marina too, except I actually had a character I hadn't drawn yet named Marina, although I figured Aquamarine fit her as well. Anyway, thank you so much for the comments. These SCP's have been a blast to do. ^^

Helena: *Giggle* Yup! Beautiful, made of water...doesn't hate men in this city since she knows none of us will unload a vial of Hydrochloric Acid into her water. ^^

*Right now she's simply at the fountain, looking at a mirror to view her "hair" flowing like water.*
