Description

This is not a “right or wrong” sort of thing, this is just the way I personally do things.

I finally finished that tutorial I promised to do. I based my layout off of Loish ’s recent tutorial because it was so cute yet well organized~ Anyway I hope this is at least somewhat helpful!

If this tutorial gets enough love, I'll open up a poll so you guys can vote on a topic for my next one. We'll just see where this goes, it was fun to make and I want to be helpful but I don't want to make them if nobody finds them helpful.

I'm glad you liked the tutorial!

I can't draw feet at all, I'm still working on that, but I can definitely try to make a hand-drawing tutorial for you~

I really like the thought of drawing the torso as two parts. I always struggle with torso even after years of drawing. This will be very helpful Thanks for sharing

Tiribrush In reply to SpaceCastaway [2015-04-05 03:30:41 +0000 UTC]

-wow your art is really good-
Anyway, yeah, I've always thought the torso was hard but as soon as you start to break it up you can get a better understanding of how things would work. I'm no expert at anatomy but I'd like to think little things like that help!

SpaceCastaway In reply to Tiribrush [2015-04-05 14:07:45 +0000 UTC]

Thanks I believe the key is to think 3-dimensionally, to know the shape, volume etc. of what you're drawing, but it's tough. Such shortcuts are really useful

mikumikuiki [2015-03-28 01:49:40 +0000 UTC]

ooo i must try this soon. If you ever do another tutorial i suggest doing hair!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tiribrush In reply to mikumikuiki [2015-04-05 03:33:14 +0000 UTC]

Hair would be such a hard tutorial for me to do because honestly I'm not entirely sure how to draw it myself. My technique changes constantly. Especially shading it like literally every drawing I do is completely different in that regard. But I would like to think I have a decent understanding for the flow of hair, so maybe I could do a tutorial on how to decide where to put the hair instead of how to actually draw the strands

Yeah that would be a good idea! I'd love to see it.
