Of all the warriors in Tír na nÓg, Sétanta is of the few who comes close to matching Badb's skill. Even his father, Lugh, who was long considered the greatest warrior in the land of youth, would not challenge her for fear of embarrassment. When they first met the two had a fierce rivalry but that has grown into a close kinship, and they regularly spar to keep each other's skills fresh. Sétanta prefers spears and javelins over all other weapons, but Badb is a mistress of all forms of combat and so will often change her selection at a whim.

Corvids are Babd's spirit animal, and both Crows and Raven will flock to her call.
