I really, really love this. As was said before, the colors and the pose just make this great. My suggestion for a background would be nothing more complicated than the classic Egyptian stone-brick wall - even without heiroglyphs, it would still work.

Very nice, as for the background I guess I could take a shot at coming up with an idea. Since the Anubis has a certain level of detail you'll have to put just as much effort into itotherwise i wouldn't bother. I would do heirogliphics, like those found on the wall of a tomb.
