Backstory:
Born to Hermann and Vela Peters, Frederick was born to a religious family in Platsburg, a highly polluted industrial country. Despite its pollution, Platsburg was an otherwise peaceful monarchy ruled by the Kaiser Voulsmon III. Hermann worked as a repairman at an auto repair shop, while his mother stayed at home to raise her son.

As Fred got older, the Cronex Empire grew more and more powerful as they began subjugating neighboring countries into their fascist dictatorship. Eventually, Cronahn made an alliance with Platsburg, which caused a violent divide between those who support the merge, and those who are against it. Hermann was against it, while Vela showed racist views against the reptiles who live in Platsburg. Eventually, a civil war broke out between a radical-left rebellion, and the now Cronex-aligned Platsman government. Before this conflict happened, Vela gave birth to a daughter named Amelie.

The war caused destruction throughout Platsburg, and as it came close to the Peters' home, the parents of Fred and Amelie got more and more dysfunctional. Eventually, Vela walked out of the household in the middle of the night when Fred was only six years old, and Amelie was five months old. Hermann eventually fled from the country as it was on fire. While Amelie soon forgot about this event, Vela's disappearance would haunt Fred forever.

After spending most of his life savings immigrating to Emrovia, Hermann and his son and daughter were forced to learn English in order to fit in. Them being immigrants, along with living in a lower-class city made life difficult. Hermann used his remaining funds to start his own auto repair shop, which had moderate success. As they were in school, Fred promised to his dad that he'll protect his baby sister with his life, seeing as she is the light of the darkness. Amelie is the one that keeps the father and son happy, so they must return the favor. Occasionally during the summer, Fred would often sneak out of the house to a lake to cool himself off, even teaching himself to swim. He kept this as a secret from his father seeing as he would disapprove.

Once Fred reached his teens, Hermann was suffering from back pain and sore joints as a result of his physically demanding job. This results in the boy dropping out of high school so he can help his father run his business, while also watching over Amelie. As a result of the people he worked with, and the environment he was in, Fred picked up a smoking habit at age 16. Hermann however was too tired to care about it, loving his children no matter what.

As the Emro-Cronahn War escalated, the Cronex Empire took over Emrovia, which also includes the town Hermann as his children lived at. While the family were in no danger due to once being from Platsburg and having a connection to wolves, Hermann felt hatred towards the Cronex, as did Fred. They had no power to fight back. In one eventful day, the physically impaired Hermann suffers from a heart attack due to non-stop working. He then succumbed once he was taken to the hospital. With no family left, Frederick takes his baby sister with him. With no way to make money, Hermann's repair shop is abandoned, as the remaining siblings are homeless. The closest thing to a home is an old truck Frederick inherited.

Frederick then saw a flyer on a wall, sparking interest in a mercenary group called "The Bullet Rangers". With no other place to work, he immediately signs up without hesitation. Not only does he have a job, but also a place to live that is Emerald Thunder. He moves there, and eventually passes the basic training required to be a Ranger. While he is away, his now thirteen-year old sister Amelie is taken to a care center as she feels at home. While they are far from having the perfect life, Fred and his sister are at least happy for now.
