Description I don't think I've ever attempted drawing Akuma/Gouki properly before.  Certainly had a lot of head scratching happen whilst doing this, but I'm glad Joey Ansah (Director and Akuma of Street Fighter Assassin's Fist) requested it of me, pushing me to new limits.

Akuma translates to "Great Demon" in Japanese so I tried to capture those demonic qualities: bulking his muscles up as they are enhanced by the dark hadou; visualizing that dark energy with flames and taking that one step further by making his hair all fiery.

Since this is a tribute to Joey's Akuma, I referenced his face and stance in the photo we took with him at NYCC this year

I love/hate Akuma. He's a awesome badass villian but so hard for me to beat. I guess he's supposed to be hard though. I remember getting so frustrated trying to beat him on hard that I broke something.

BUT

I DO love your art though. No question there. Great effects and you got his likeness down perfect!

haha I'm the opposite - real ppl are harder for me because everyone has a different style of play whereas the CPU is really predictable even on the hardest difficulty, though I heard that in the latest version it's gotten a lot smarter

What I mean is I don't get mad at people as much. It tends to be the computer that gets me mad when I don't win because I think I should be able to beat a computer that can't really think. While with real people it makes perfect sense that I should lose once in a while.
