Description Hey look another painting. And it's not Typhlosion this time 8D

Decided to give myself another shot at painting. I could still use some practice on the fur, but, overall, I'm pretty much liking this one right now.

A re-do of this old piece here: fav.me/d66vijz

Just because I like to be negative, you need change the legs, these feet could not support a two legged creature's weight because they do not have enough space to evenly distribute it.
Try to solely walk on the upper part of your feet and you will see what I mean.
The whole form wouldn't be ideal or comfortable. But fun fact,we humans mostly still haven't fully adapted to the walking on two legs hints why we tend to often get fellings of pains in our backs. But good job on the colouring,by the way what is that pen made out of?Aluminium? Or why is it so big?You know that zooming is a thing, right

Rather an old piece to critique on don't ya think? But still appreciable.
More like negative in a positive way...if that makes any sense.
That is true but this is more of a digitigrade rather than a plantigrade one (if that's how you're viewing it). Supporting ourselves on the upper part of our foot isn't really second nature to us but it should be for creatures that are born digitigrade (if I'm understanding where you're going). Though looking at it now, I do notice plenty of errors (as most artist would when walking down not-so-great memory lane). :'D And interesting fact! That actually explains a lot.
As for the pen. Well its made out of whatever a vistablet pen is made out of and why not a big pen? Hahaha.

I think there is a penis joke in your last statemant somewhere But what I ment was that soly standing on the front part of one's feet is not possible over long periods of time if the being by default is standing on two legs, since this was the best way I can explain to you why this wouldn't work, because if you stand like this over a period you would experience a lack of balance and in my case a slight pain in your legs since this position really can not support this weight due to the before mentioned lack of surface. I dare you to find a creature on this earth that has digitigraded feet and mainly moves on two legs, because there are none.Look at kangaroos, they have a brought feet to distribute their weight on (And they are cute as heck!). But whatever, long story short: digitigraded feet and mainly moving on two legs doesn't work on an evolutionary basis.
Anyhow,I know how it is to feel your way, I hate everything in my gallery since I have gathered so many new techniques and tips that me just going on and trying some random lines doesn't really work for me anymore and now just looks cheap (as it should ) So again,do you study art in school?

I think I know where BUT you hinted it first. Hahaha. Well all points are true here. (I'm forever a learner but I just usually go by things that I know.) I usually see many characters in a digitigrade stance but chances are that I wasn't so accurate on balance and such at the time. The kinda deal that just make you go along with it being completely oblivious to inaccuracy (knowing how our younger minds work and such).  Never notice until you see it or someone else see it. And that kangaroos are! I have seen multiple of them in motion(and payed some attention to their leg anatomy) and observed how they walk. Memories pretty vague at the moment however. And despite that two legged creatures standing on their hind legs for a long time is basically impossible, it has been disregarded multiple times by many artists for the sake of anthro or furry or whatever you wanna call it.
We all have several hates in our galleries but that's what usually keeps us motivated to give another crack at drawing. Use that hate to motivate! And no not really. Majority of things I know were pretty much self taught. Hardly ever had any art classes during my school years. I only had 2 for this year.

Excuse me,I was just nitpicking anyway but a conversation with you is always nice:3 By the way,I think art classes,at least in my country are bollocks.Over here we move from one random topic to another random topic with different materials, instead of actually focusing on getting better at just one medium. And the next time I have to draw thousands of tiny-ass circles for a dishes in a sink with bubbles motive(I would rather have had a Lucy in the sky with diamonds motive, lol Beatles-nerd  m.youtube.com/watch?v=3AVWJzHv…) but yeah,I have seen many self-taught artists and some of them are amazing at what they do, I am talking to one right now,as a matter of fact

It did become a pleasant chat. Art classes here kinda does that too with the principles and elements of art. I know through out my two years here, we dealt with proportions, portraits, self portraits, landscapes, different traditional tools like chalk and water color( the list kinda goes on). It's not really focused on one thing but it kinda varies between art basics and different traditional techniques which wasn't much of a problem for me. The only thing that was the problem in the class were students and their ignorance. And what kinds of topics do they jump around from and to in your area? And drawing bubbles on dishes? That honestly sounds like something elementary art classes would do in my area. Painting on things and crafting.
Self-teaching can definitely lead a long way for artists! It's an everyday struggle but we get through. Thank you! I just try with what I know. Hahaha. ^^

Wow,your topics really outshine mine,I mean ,we do so many random things and we don't do so much techniques and more jumping around from one arbitrary topic to the next one that is completely unrelated non of these focus on getting to know chalk colour painting or pretty much of anything,I mean what does making a tower out of matches have to do with anything?Come to think of it we do many things that could be considered on the level of kindergarten/elementary school level

looks really cool, especially the fur, but i think under his right arm should be a shadow on the pen, otherwise it looks unnatural and flat ^^

Since the source of light seems to come from the left side there should be a shadow visible between the lower arm and the torso.
