Sorry for the inactivity period, been really busy.Sarabi, taking a stroll with little Kiara! Love to draw these two together.
I wish Sarabi would've been featured in the second film. Sadly, she mysteriously dissapeared.

I bet, as all others, she waited for that time/day would come when she became a grandmother. But there's just one simple thing that is completely off. She never, ever tookΒ strolls with her own son. WhyΒ stroll with the grand kid?

Actually Sarabi IS in the second movie! in the part where Kiara turns to adult and asks to go hunting on her own, while she is walking Sarabi says:

The voice actor for Sarabi died before The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride was in production. They also didn't want to replace her since she didn't really had a big role in the first movie.Β

Awww, I missed Sarabi in the second film too. I thought I saw her once, but she didn't talk. I thought she was the one who'd said "My, how you've grown" at first, but I don't think that was her.

From what it said in the second film she was in it at least 3 times. The first was when Zira and Simba met, the second was Kiara's first hunt and the third was during the battle. But anyway I love the picture, I wish Sarabi and Kiara actually had moments like that.

I also don't like what they did to Sarabi on the second movie, was it so difficult to hire a different actress to voice her, oh, i'm sure it wasΒ Β
But who knows, she could have easily passed away from depression, old age (which, is really a rare case on lions) or simply stress, since what happened to her on Scar's eraΒ Β
And I think the same about Sarafina, I know she wasn't that important on the first movie, but they could have included her, just like an extra character, I know some people might mention that Sarafina was actually on the second movie, on Kiara's first hunt, but it looks nothing like Sarafina.Β

Poor Sarabi was only in a brief, non-speaking appearance standing by Simba when he faces Zira for the first time.
Yeah, I googled it, because I never seen her, and she is my favorite character! :'c
