Description Her firey red hair speaks loudly of her birth origins having being born to Harkonen parents. She was found in the wreckage of a crashed carry-all out in the open deserts by a scouting party sent to investigate the wreck three days after crash down. Shai Hulud had blessed the child of the civilian flight and protected the infant child as she lay in the wreckage for three days and nights as two great worms circled the wreackage site.

No cries were heard from the child upon arival, rather the playful gargles and laughs heard from a child when it feels at its most secure. Eralhim meaning 'The one who laughs' was the name given to her by her adopted parents and was just right for a child who loved nothing more than to cause trouble. Her strong Harkonen blood means her temper rages and her strength is matched by only the strongest of the male Fremen warriors. A child born in a war of both sides, she renounced her Harkonen blood lines and took the name Middar in honor of the ones she had called Mother and Father her whole life.

I did this one for Locke after he mentioned he thought one of my masked Fremen women looked 'interesting'. Well bro, here she is without the mask and a bit of story too her

Comments and crit are welcome as always.

Thank you! The suit is amazing and well worth the purchase. I had to re-texture it from its black and grey colours to give it more of a desert style as well as making it look worn and dusty. Thanks for the comments

What is the suit? And I'm guessing it's a V4 item (I'm still stuck on my A3! ) Texturing is something I have to learn. I spend more time finding odd raw textures I can use as replacements for clothes than I spend using the original textures.

I forgot to mention, they have a discount code for 10% off at the moment X3DWOB09072011, but you can only use it until the 14th of September

The suit is a xurge item! They are insanely good, and he does a whole range of cool sci-fi suits. I'd say they are a little pricey, but they are fantastic quality and great fun to work with! [link]

I try to do as much of my own texturing as I can so things don't look quite so out of the box, but sometimes you come across the odd item where there is simply no need to change what the artist has allready created. Learning texturing is definatly a great investment of your time though

Yeah he's got a couple Aiko3 suits I've been looking at. I always get frustrated though when I find something good for Aiko3 that Hiro3 could use a version of and they don't have one. Hilariously funny is that Hiro3 was THE Japanese Anime Male Hero and he has no Sci Fi gear, and almost no Japanese Historical Gear.

Some crit? Okay, I can do that for you!

1. The eyes are seriously creeping me out. The sclera are way too blue, and I don't know if you were going for that effect or not. If you were, it looks like you just boosted the ambient channel with a blue color. Try taking the texture map into PS and changing the color there instead.

2. The bottoms of the pigtails aren't casting any shadows. Did you turn the occlusion and raytrace off using UberHair? If so, try just turning raytrace off, and leave occlusion on. It'll make a huge difference, though it will slow your render times down a bit.

3. It could use some specular highlights. If she's in the middle of a desert, chances are that she'll be sweating. Even if she isn't for some reason, skin still has a shine to it. Elite Lana has some great specular maps, don't be afraid to use 'em!

4. The hood is a bit wonky. Try using D-formers to make it look more draped.

Overall, though, this image is great, and a whole lot better than what usually gets posted in the 3D gallery. I hope my crits weren't too harsh, and I'm very sorry if they were!

The eyes are meant to be blue as to quote direct from the books about the Fremen they have 'blue within blue eyes' I never went anywhere near the ambient channel, rather I used the pen tool to select them in Photoshop and used a colour overlay.

I dont use uber hair, but I do turn of raytracing and ambeint occlusion and I titaly agree with you on them not casting shadows.

Thanks for the feedback on the spec stuff and the hood, it can be a real pain to work with and get it looking right.

Thanks for the crit, not harsh enough if you ask me. I don't get offended by people trying to help me.
