Description a sibling who loves to read had a b-day this week, so i made her an inkheart cake. the text on it is actually selections from the book when mo is telling meggie the story of what happened the night he read basta, dustfinger, and capricorn out of the book and resa and the 2 cats went in. it didn't turn out exactly how i had originally planned, but i was happy with the end product. hope you like this.

I've never read Inkheart, but this reminds me of what a book in the restricted section of the library might look like in Harry Potter (which was my search terms for finding this). This may or may not tempt me to create a prop like this for my party.. hm. I dunno. I have some old, hideous clay hands I made in high school I might be able to do something with... hahaha xD This is some very good cake making though, haha Thanks for the inspiration!

thanks!! it is real, yes. i made it with cake and frosting and fondant. aha. and i need to keep in practice, so if you let me know when yoru b-day is i can try to at least draw up a sketch for you
