Description
A simple blue modification of the fantastic BlackMesa visualstyle, which can be found here:[link]
Updated 6/6/2005: Added orange selection boxes for start menu, changed theme name in Appearance preference box to BlueMesa, and dropped saturation on the start button a little.
Updated again 6/6/2005: Fixed single pink pixel on start buttons.
Updated 7/6/2005: Added Tahoma substyles, shrunk start menu button area (Hopefully this fixes problems with French copies of Windows XP too.) Made Logoff button yellow.
Updated 8/6/2005: Fixed description text on start menu (now an attractive blue colour) and modified selection colour a little.

This is the official resource kit for the Black Mesa visual style. Do what you want with it, my only request is that if you use these files in any other VS, skin, or website, you give me credit. No prior permission is required.
So if you feel so inclined as to make a wonderful modification to the Black Mesa VS, feel free to use these as you see fit, and release it at will!

Amazing theme,Beautiful colors. Love it even tho im usually more into minimalistic themes. But I did find a small bug. When entering a directory with music files a part of the box on the left (Music Tasks) becomes discolored. Would be super if you could fix this. Apart from this, no other bugs found. Excellent job!

I love this theme EXCEPT that I can't resize windows along the top border. The other 3 borders work fine for resizing.
However, sometimes a window will be too tall for my screen and it's a royal pain to make it shorter because the bottom border is hidden (so I can't use it) and the top border won't work for resizing.
Fix that one issue and this would be my favorite theme.

Sorry, its because of the way the compact size titlebars work. Nobody I know of has found a way around it yet, and I'm pretty much a full-time OS X user now anyway.

you linked valkyre, not me. and the text you quoted was his permission to modify blackmesa, not mine to modify bluemesa. i don't mean to be an asshole over this, but credit where credit's due right?
like i said in my comments, i don't mind people porting it at all, it just would have been nice to have been asked. this is obviously just a misunderstanding, and i've had a crappy day so i came across a bit vicious.

Its AveDesk, using the Elements icons by pAntoni. Both can be found at aqua-soft.org. The font is HandelGotD and is payware, so you'll have to get that yourself.

nice modification idd, kewl colours
still i got a few things i don't like so much about the xxx_mesa releases:
- normal version has a really thick taskbar
- compact(&thin) version has HUGE spaces between the icons in the quicklaunch-bar
- progress-bar is "continouos" only when using FireFox, other applications (IE etc.) show a normal, windowsXP classic, progress-bar
- the same progress-bar has a not-enough-contrasted/not suitable colour for the main-colour of the VS. those orange buttons are SOO nice, why not using the same colour in the progress-bar? would be a nice alternative, I am sure about it!
...2bad I don't possess enough knowledge in modifying/creating a VS...

Very beautiful VS. Even better than the original Black Mesa in my opinion. Is it possible to make sub styles with other fonts? I'd like Tahoma 8 but unfortunately it is not used in normal or compact version.
