I know Deidara made his decision when he fought against Sasuke, but I hate how Sasuke wouldn't die/forced him to use his last resort (pretty much killing himself in the attempt to kill Sasuke). It was all for nothing! On that day, my like for Sasuke plummeted. (What actually became the last straw was when he when he nearly killed Sakura twice/Team 7 reunion). I'm not impressed that he became a good guy and Sakura ended up with him. Uh, hello! He nearly killed you twice remember? I guess love is blind.

Ditto... Even though I love the Naruto series, Sasuke is the only character I can not stand anymore. Sasuke does not deserve what the Sage of Six Paths gave him. It will take more than what he is doing now to make me even consider respecting him again.

I know. It's like all of the damages he did to everyone around him (those he knows and doesn't know), his comeuppance is he gets to live or doesn't get any form of punishment. It's like he gets painted as a good guy just because he changed. No one changes like that. And in order to get respect, that would take years. It just annoys me.

He should have at least got put on probation and told to do community service at minimum. Heck, this whole mess could have been avoided earlier while Sasuke was in a coma thanks to Itachi. Jiraiya should have spotted that Curse Mark (I know I would due to how big that collar is and the mark is clearly exposed) and done something about it before having Gai take him back to the village. It is obvious Kakashi's little seal did not change anything other than allow the boy to use his chakra. In fact, it highlighted how bad the situation was going to get. So in a way it could have been avoided if a sealing master was brought in during the Chunin Exams.

But for all we know, Jiraiya couldn't have done anything with the curse mark. He's a Sannin, but some abilities are beyond him. But I agree, a sealing master would be in high demand especially if they made Sasuke their top priority instead of putting it off until he did leave.

Jiraiya did remove a seal that Orochimaru put on him and was described to be a sealing master who learned from Minato, who learned from Kushina (the Uzumaki are loaded with sealing masters, and I am sure some survived beyond Naruto, Nagato, and Karin prior to the New Generation babies Naruto had). I am sure Jiraiya could have put a better seal to ward off the evil that seal makes because what Kakashi put on Sasuke was a crap. He should know that Sasuke has no will and only desires revenge (especially after the cursed seal because it flanderized that trait in technical terms).

Well, perhaps the Curse mark is much more different than the 5 prong seal. But at the same token, Jiraiya had no interest in Sasuke much like Orochimaru felt toward Naruto. It seems to be about favoritism.

We will never know. All we got are theories. As for favoritism, that is one aspect I don't really like in the series. For Orochimaru, favoritism never crossed my mind because of how much like a pedophile he was. As for Jiraiya, I was too distracted by his perverted tendencies. Only Kakashi originally showed it enough for me to notice. Not even his little book could throw me off. Favoritism probably is what caused some of the crap to happen. Kakashi pretty much feed Sasuke's obsession for power, which is not good. Sasuke should have gotten therapy instead in my opinion.

That is true, we only have theories. Also, Kakashi did show plenty of favoritism. Such as after the preliminary chunin exams, Naruto begged his sensei to be trained only for Kakashi to tell him, "No, I'm training Sasuke." A sensei is supposed to dedicate his time as equally as possible. But then, if he didn't Naruto wouldn't have met Jiraiya and learn awesome attacks and abilities.

That I also agree on. In the end, Kakashi not showing favoritism would have changed a lot of things. I wonder if anyone has done that. And before you tell me, I know that there is a story about Kakashi getting over his grief, and in my opinion that story made Team Seven WAY TOO OP for their universe as they won literally every single battle without any issues (I would give a name, but I forgot it). Grief and favoritism are two different things.

I was not aware of the alternate story. But who know how exactly it all started to why Sasuke wanted to seek more power to how was Naruto raised as a baby/toddler.

As far as we know, Kishi said that Uchihas are very emotional and vengeful, which I find weird. As for Naruto's upbringing, I am not sure how he is still even alive since the Fox could not even start leaking noticeable amounts of chakra until he was twelve.

OMG IKR?? Sasuke just ruined the whole show. Now it's all about him. From the begining it's been ALL ABOUT sasuke. when he left- the whole point of this show (mostly known as Naruto but should be called Sasuke because it's ABOUT HIM) was about "getting sasuke back". grr.
