Bah! If you want to talk Mary sue then go after Kagome from Inuyasha and Yuuki Kuran from Vampire Knight. They are the most useless girls in the anime.
I detest weak anime females. I don't care if they are cute or have powers if they do then Freakin use them to defend themselves!? They shouldn't rely on the cute males all the time. It's pointless and embarrassing.

Even the girls from Love Hina who are also Mary Sue with underdeveloped characters, but not Sakura who is Mary Sue. Panty and Stocking is also a Mary Sue, but I feel that I don't support Mary Characters no matter if they are into anime, cartoon, and comics. *Sighed* I never understand people and those who claimed that the official characters are not Mary-Sues within the fictional stories, but they are... I seen a poor kid get bullied out of reading because other "author" kids would not stop yelling at her because she had a twilight book, she just gave up one day and never bother picking up another book.

I honestly HATE Mary-sues.
I'm okay with OC's in fanfiction with a purpose OTHER than falling in love with a main character >_> But an "OC" that really is just copied off another character and basically resembles the one who created it, cosplaying as an existing character. People are missing the idea of OC Original Content/character.
A great example I saw:
Allen Walker
Noname who had the same outfit, the same scar (except it was a different color) and a different colored Timcampy.
That's a friggen Mary-Sue not an OC >_>

A Mary Sue is a character that is annoyingly perfect or flawless, and in fanfiction, is often a character that all the other characters like, even if their personality would normally bring them to dislike that person. They are often unrealistically powerful for the fandom/anime they appear in, and are also known as "godmodders", which is another way of saying that they have far too much power or attention in the anime than they should. An example might be Sasuke, though since he is male, he would be known as a "Gary Stu". Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most powerful characters in Naruto, and he has the flawless appearance, unrealistic power, and a dramatized past to make up for his behavior.
Overly tragic pasts are used alot in fanfiction in order to make the reader sympathize with the character or even like them.

It says "does not support mary sues",and Mary Sues are basically bratty or annoying characters in an anime (usually female) that everyone wants to hate.

um actually they are a character who the plot revolves around. Or someone who has no effective flaws (read flaws that effect them negatively)
A character isn't a Sue because they annoy someone or come across as bratty. Real people can be both.

It's been quite a while since I posted this stamp. Since then, I have had a better understanding of what a Sue really is. They do not always have to be the main character, but that usually is the case. They show no outer signs of having fundamental flaws or traits that make them, in essence, human.
I many cases, the Mary Sue of any anime is the character one can only either love or hate. A Sue typically appeals to half of its fandom and disgusts the other half. It just depends on the fandom itself, I guess.

Okay, sorry, but I need to clarify something.
A Mary Sue is NOT a bratty character, though they are very annoying (even though the creator usually doesn't intend to make them that way). Basically, a Mary Sue is a flawless girl character who has some form of a tragic past and is gifted with unbelievable power/a destiny that only she can fulfil, and the plotline with her usually involves "getting stronger to protect the ones I love". A perfect example of a Mary Sue in fiction would be Bella Swan from Twilight.
Also, another telltale sign of a Mary Sue is the entire male cast (or at least about half of them) being attracted to her in some way, and her befriending all of the female characters (most of the time this eventually includes her rival).

Renge's just the type who wants to see yaoi action or the girl who picks up gossip.
Mary-Sues are typically perfect (female) characters who has every boy crushing on her, doesn't acknowledge her hotness, and has flaws but they don't detract from her extreme 'beauty'. (Haruhi may have many boys liking her, but she's not perfect in the sense she's scared of lightning and has a typically indifferent and boring personality towards the host club members.)
While they are bratty and annoying and everyone seems to hate them, they may or may not be Mary-Sues.
