Description
This wallpaper was kind of inspired by Oblivion (at least the destroyed moon was). I really wonder how our world would be like with a destroyed moon. It took me quite a while to get the earth right.Several different resolution are available on my homepage gtgraphics.de: gtgraphics.de/image/occasus/

Looks like we did just fine.
Those space stations look quite a bit more advanced than the stuff we have right now, and the lights down there indicate civilisation is still alive and more or less healthy.

After seeing the movie I wanted to include a destroyed moon as well. Haven't really had much time for any personal pieces lately. But this is amazing, awesome job as always sir.

Well for one thing the weather report would include an Impact Probability Index and, depending on how severe the breakup was, the tides would be affected as well (although not all that much if the majority of it's mass still remains together, like in this image).Β
