It has been a while since my last dual screen wallpaper (more than 2.5 years to be exact): so it was about time for a new very wide image. The working title of the picture was monastery island, inspired by the French Mont Saint Michel, which served as a base for my island too.Β What a sight would it be to walk on that bridge with the city rising higher and higher above the water and fog. It gives me great pleasure, to leave a comment, on one of the most unique artists here on DA, his latest piece is yet another surreal imagery taken out of his own imaginary world, the level of detail and the harmonic bond between the various elements seen here, distorts the line between fiction and the world as we are forced to see it, this image in particular instills the dream travelers with serenity and the desire to sail into a world less traveled, in search for answers to life's greatest mysteries, well done taenaron, you've out done your self with this latest piece.

I really love this wallpaper and the details; the glow of the castle on the island, the fog in the distance covering half the mountain range,Β the aurora borealis in the night sky. But what really amazes me about this piece is how you blended the photographic & digital elements together seamlessly; even I haven't been able to succeed at doing that flawlessly.
The only flaws are the trees on the left; it's not very clean around the edges if you look very closely. But die-cutting treesΒ is not easy and it has happened to me when I tried doing it. But that's okay as it looks natural when seen from afar.
Definitely worth a favorite so that artists on Deviantart (including myself) can become inspired to create beautiful scenes like this!
