Well, mate. I use a lot of different techniques and brushes. Try downloading some brushes from the internet and they'll be added to your brush-list. It'll definitely help you. Use low opacity on the brushes too, is my advice. I use my own customized brushes - along with some brushes downloaded from the internet as well.
