His sight deteriorated to the point of disability, but he never was completely blind. It was a symptom of his "mystery" ailment. It progressed slowly.

i love this....is it just me or did anyone think starwars when they saw this?
TOBI IS THE MAN (or obito at least i think i mean why would obito be such a sticking point for kakashi in the story and then get no screen time.......gosh angsting galore if he is) yeah! itachi looks good there too and tobi is so dramatic
