The loading screen that displays on the Battle for Ashaya, a dungeon in the snow plains of Elyssia in the Flash game I submitted a good while ago.
I meant to add in loading screens for each of the dungeons since like .. two years, but I never got back to drawing any of them.
Well, here's a start, at least!The drawing shows Alexandra - chased out of Ashaya through no fault of her own, with nowhere to go, she keeps most of her belongings at an old tree, in safe distance away from the village. The light of her lantern can be seen from afar after the sun set, starting the rumour of a haunted tree among the superstitious villagers of Ashaya.
Only one of them knows the true story behind the haunted tree - a little boy named Timothy, who sneaks out during the freezing nights to bring Alexandra food and hot tea.

An impressive illustration here. I like the atmosphere of this piece, a solemn one or so it appears to me. You did a grand job with the mood, if this was intentional, especially with the vibrancy of the snow and the nighttime sky that offsets it above. And speaking of which, all these colors mix together very well, the white snow, purplish night, the occasional browns.
The villagers of that village, Ashaya (neat name), sound like, to be frank, jerks. But I need not make assumptions. In any rate, this is a nice piece of artwork, and perfect for a loading screen.

It's lovely! I love how luminescent the snow is, almost like it's glowing against the night sky. (Not that I've ever seen snow in real life, but I know the stuff is reflective so I guess it must be reflecting the moonlight.) The little town looks so picturesque too, I love the way the smoke is rising from the chimneys.

At that point the northern fields are ridden with monsters, so she and Timothy are hiding on the tree, fending off the demons that try to get them down.
The drawing is a few months before the event - Ashaya has no fortifications yet, and the fields are still safe, for the most part.

Technically that plot line of Ashaya is done; people have seen it, and cleared the dungeon since .. September last year, I think. By now the story moved on to Midnight Mountain. I'm just really behind with drawing loading screens, because they are fairly low priority.
