Description This started out as a lighting test, but liked the way it turned out so I made a while scene out of it. The idea for the scene was from a pic by JJ over at theforce.net.

I really like the way this turned out. Let me know what you guys think

Nice! I would look really cool if you line thousands of those next to each other so that it looks like huge march, and controlled by a communist-like country.

Too bad the AT-ATs weren't in the original trilogy more than just Hoth and one on Endor. Mighty fine work there!

Love this pic! Coming from Norway gives this scene a special meaning too, and there's something about sci fi movies in snow enviroments...

That's an amazing piece of work right there, a little more detail on the At-AT's though and it might as well have come straight out of the movie!

This is amazing! There is so much detail. I just saw the first three SW movies (Episodes 6-9). I really like this one, good job.

saw this at SFM, and this has been already said: the right snowwalker looks like it's floating

It's called an AT-AT Walker, and I don't see how it looks as though it's floating

yeah dude it looks great. what specifically were you testing with the light? i think the texturing of the walkers is what greatly detracts from realism.

Thanks Believe it or not, I was trying out 3 point lighting for my first time. I used to always rely on GI for my realism and wanted to see how realistic I could get it with 3 point lighting.

What do you suggest I do about the textures?

well i dunno really. i've never done textures.
