The picture was taken during the flood in Romania, a flood that affected lots of people, especially the poor ones!The water took a life's work of a lot of peasants! houses were lost people where dead all taken by the water, but still hope remaind wile the guvernment and the people of the country where united and helped the ones in need!! Solitude there was!
It was a hard time but we got over it!! i have a lot of picture taken during that time but this is the one that affected me the most!
I might have writen the story in a LOTR way! sorry for that

yes maybe, but if i had a closer shot! then the clothes from the fence would not have been vizible! and the reflection wouldn't have been this way! Thank you!

Nice piece of photojournalism there TodirutVlad. Great moment captured with lots of information and mood packed into the shot. The rule of thirds compliant composition is great, and wonderfully executed. The distorted reflections are wonderful, and work excellently, and the clear destruction and chaos is good too

I like the composition of this, just because it generally shows a lot of the things you want to tell us. The contrast and lighting are sublime, but there is one single problem... I don't see much flood! There is some water in front of the little boy, but not much anywhere else. Perhaps that is the strength of this photo. It shows us the story behind the people caught in the flood without focussing on the actual event too much. All in all, an excellent portrait.
