Well here is my attempt for the Tomb Raider Reborn contest. Unfortunately it did not come out as well as I had hoped. One, I totaled my car Monday night and thank the lord I walked away with only back pain. I slammed into a concrete divider due to a tire blowing out and that just made me swing into the nice broad immovable object. So that really put a pause on doing this picture right. I really had to rush at this last night and today and it is far from what I had hoped to do.

I have not attempted colored pencils in 10 years and it shows. I just did not think I had time to draw and color with my PC in time so I tried. And I noticed my scanner does not pick up all the colors that where on the art so it's far less colorful that it actually is. And the background is bad, I know. Just no time since the accident so I had to rush what you see so it would be...something.

Anyway, I really, really love the new game. I watched a buddy play and Was all set to get a copy this payday until my car totaled..but I still...who needs a car or food?! Not when Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics put out this epic! Really amazing graphics and the story is pretty cool from the little I have had to play. I just hope my Xbox stops locking up so when I do get it I can play it!! The inspiration is during the trailer when Lara is just bounding her wounds and says, "I know what I must Become.." I pictured all the other Lara Crofts behind her, urging her on, and that's what I tried to do. Kind of ghost and she's just starting so her future self's are not complete yet (Hench the missing faces).

Since Crystal Dynamics is still involved I thought a good tip of the hat to them by putting, Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld versions of her. And If I read the rules right I did not see anything that said I could put other versions of her in, if I missed that...sigh...I blame it on the accident.

Anyway, with so many amazing entries I really have no belief in my winning anything and although that would be nice. I just love how DA can really get people inspired to try and get them to really try to express themselves artistically and creatively. I also wanted to say my thanks for a great launch of the epic Lara origin! Also hug file as contest requires 3000 pixels minimum...Comments always welcome
