Description Here is the result of my assignment from week two of Shanth Enjeti's comic class. I've made a promise to myself that everything I do for this class, I will post here on deviantart. I hold myself to a different (not necessarily higher, just more stylized,) standard here, and since the general idea of comics is for other people to read them, I figure I need to start somewhere.
If you are smart, you will notice I have not posted week one. This is a tragedy of technology, not of quality, and I'll post it as soon as I figure out how to weedle it off of my busted flash drive.

Anyway the assignment was to talk about a historical moment, using 6 panels with the same panel layout. And in general, I'm very proud of this. I'm also glad that you guys are getting to see some of my brushwork, cause it's how I do most of my traditional stuff these days.

Now for the real test---- What is this historical moment?

It's Darwin coming to a revelation about natural selection by observing Galapagos finches. ...Is that right? Very nicely and crisply portrayed.

People say Darwin... i guess that's the correct answer, but i just thought of the movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hichtcock. I truly think that's a really historical moment in cinema's history

Beautiful brushwork. I love his face--its really simple but it works well.

Darwin's finches are a bunch of birds, not an event, lol, but Darwin discovering said finches and having his eureka is. What I meant was that when I saw the comic, I thought of the birds first, not the history .
