[!] A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES.Theme #13: Are You Challenging Me? of SupernovaNinja's 50 Themes Challenge with as always.
This is one part of the theme challenge. You can find the link to the second part below.
I found the group a few years ago when Super Smash Bros. for the WiiU and 3DS first came out, and always wanted to do this. Naturally, I would do this for the character I would like to see in the game, but has 0 chance of getting in (yeah, I voted for him on the ballot a few years ago too
) and thus, this was born. A more stupid and ambitious me would try to attempt Eirika too, but I have learned my lesson from this and will never try this again. Please do not repost or redistribute on other websites without permission.

If we would get a lance user in Smash I see Sharena having a better chance.
Not only a lance user and a new female character, but I can't see anyone else representing nintendo's mobile games.

I actually thought Azura would have a bigger chance, giving how Corrin is in the current one, and given her role in Fates. But Sharena would be a good choice as well!

Actually, Corrin being the current one is why Azura's chances are low. Because fates have a rep, It's not the latest game in the franchise, and there alot of FE games that doesn't have a rep in smash.
It's kinda like why Chrome won't get in smash now, it's to late. So Ephraim has actually a bigger chance of getting in before Azura.
The only way I can see Azura being added is if the rumors of FE switch being a Fates remastered is true.

I actually think Corrin being in Smash would raise Azura's chance of being in Smash, similar to how Lucina and Robin are both in it. But given how the releases of the games lined up, I doubt we'll be seeing Azura in the future game lines up. We'll have another FE game released for the Switch next summer, and it'll probably be someone from that game.
I really doubt that Nintendo will make a Fates remaster so soon after the game's been out.

It wouldn't. The only reason both Robin and Lucina is in is because Lucina was originally an alt to Marth, otherwise there wouldn't be two awakening characters. It's also the reason why Chrom won't be in the game.

Yeah, I doubt we'll actually see Corrin again in the next one. They weren't exactly a popular choice and only made it in because of promotion material for Fates' release.
Chrom didn't make it in the game because his move-set would have ended up too similar to Ike's though. Wasn't that the reason why they made him a costume for the Miis so that people would stop complaining?

I don't think Corrin, Robin and Roy will be in the next game. Marth will always stay and Ike and Lucina will be in because they are arguably the most popular and recognizable male and female lord in FE. (maybe Lucina will be a semi clone or getting the Luigi 64 to Melee treatment)
I know that's the reason why he isn't in, but because Robin and Lucina are in the changes for another Awakening character is lower.
