Description
Every now and then, you run into a character that you just feel...uncomfortable with because they just remind you of yourself. Be it in their morals or views or just their behavior. These are the ten that I honestly connected with:
UPDATED!
10. John "J.D." Dorian from "Scrubs"
In hindsight, this character's more like me than I thought. First of all, we tend to view everything from a perspective that's almost entirely based on how we feel about it, we have a tendency to overreact, and both spend a lot of time in our imaginations. If no one else gets how we operate, however, we generally don't care.
9. Mello from "Death Note"
Based more on how I interact with my little brother (who also finds similarities between himself and Near). We're both smart, but regularly clunk heads because of our temperaments. I tend to be the more emotional and bad-tempered between the two of us while he's the more logical and cool-headed one. However, we are capable of putting aside our differences in order to work together. And yes, I ALSO love chocolate.
8. Friar Tuck from "Disney's Robin Hood"
It was a toss-up between this character and Little John, but I went with Friar Tuck. While I do try to be a practical person like Little John, I tend to be a more...personal and optimistic person, especially in my religion. Sometimes, I'm the happy preacher who's more about helping people before myself, but if you tick me off...well, the phrase "GET OUT OF MY CHURCH!" comes to mind.
7. Jack Skellington from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
Well, I knew this guy was going to be on the list when I had the idea. We both often get tired with what we're doing and search for something new. When we find that new thing, we obsess over it and study it to the point where we know everything about it before trying (and failing) to convey the idea to others.
6. Gordon "Alf" Shumway from "ALF"
Shortest explanation ever: the two of us are lazy but always come with a ton of sarcastic retorts.
5. Niizuma Eiji from "Bakuman"
These days, I find it a little harder to get into my creative phase. But, when I do, I get entirely in the zone. In a way, I'm kind of like the prodigy mangaka from one of my favorite manga series. That and the two of us have some bizarre habits that people just tilt their head at or just learn to deal with.
4. Booster Gold from DC Comics
Yeah, I wish I was more like Superman or The Question. But, I always know it: I'm more like the showboat from the future. We're self-centered, enjoy getting credit, and enjoy self-promotion. However, when push comes to shove, we're more than willing to help out and really value friendship.
3. Sora from "Kingdom Hearts"
Speaking of loyalty. I think that Sora, aside from the crossing of Disney films, is what drew me to Kingdom Hearts. Because I would also go to the ends of the Earth to help someone like my brothers, because I value our connection that much.
2. Frasier Crane from "Cheers"/"Frasier'
This was the least surprising for me. I like to think I'm an intelligent, cultured man and, when that view is threatened, I tend to become bad-tempered. And, yes, my brothers remind me of Frasier's family as well. Loon would be Niles: we share similar interests, but more often than not wind up butting heads. Ray would probably be Martin...not that he's actually my father, but he tends to be a little less sophisticated than me and Loon, but is generally more down-to-Earth.
1. Bilbo Baggins from "The Hobbit"/"Lord of the Rings"
Yeah, I was kinda surprised by this. But, I think it fits. I tend to act with a certain order and get really out-of-sorts when that order is disrupted. I also tend to enjoy the peaceful life and enjoy writing. That's pretty much why I think this guy is most like me.
