Description
Built by Pullman in 1924, Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum #906 is a Heavyweight Coach that was once apart of the Central of Georgia Railroad. Seeing use on their hot Passenger Trains like the “Man ‘O War” and the Seminole. Initially the car was equipped with adjustable openable windows and a clerestory roof. However in 1937 it was modernized into how it looks here. This car was also a Jim Crow car and had the same configuration as sister 907. In an effort to preserve the Jim Crow era of American Passenger Rail, its original configuration has been left in-tact. Video of the car and more:
