Pen & Ink / Marker Drawing (2012)......I created this for my Fundamentals of Design course; each week we were assigned a different principle or element of design to represent in a composition of our choosing. Hypnotize was for the week of "Shape", a visually perceived area created either by an enclosing line or by color/value changes defining the outer edge. I really had no set plan for this drawing, except for maintaining a balanced integration between positive and negative space. Other than that, I just pieced 2D shapes together as I went, and picked out a "cool" color scheme to finish it off.
