I wanted to try 2 things with this piece: focus mostly on palaeobotany, and experiment with artistry through composition while still using a hyper-realistic, high-plausibility style. Species featured: Eosinopteryx (dinosaur), Mongolarachne (spider), Ctenis/Lioxylon (cycad), Hausmannia, Raphaelia (ferns), Hepaticites (liverwort).Related content

This is certainly one of your best work. The hyper-realism goes well with your strive for accuracy.
But I am curious about what is happening in the terrain. Is that a slope, and cycad trunk is leaning on the ground? Person who saw your drawing said Hausmannia seems to be growing in wrong place considering that it is a ground plant.

The comment about Hausmannia is dumb, modern dipteridaceae will grow wherever they can get a foothold, especially when they are young, as these ones are.
