man,for all the art i try to study from observation i think the floor in this would sum up something i just fail to replicate. From looking at this my understanding is a mix of brush strokes,layer modes,textures a motion blur and of course good old reliable experimentation. That being said there is a certain look that a lot of environment artists can achieve in ground planes that has something in kind and it's beyond my current derpiness..

looks great tom- theres a great sense of depth here and the colours are a sweet meld of subtle tones that make it look like an old photograph from a travellers journal. I think youve really done some excellent work on the figure here. Lookin forward to seeing more and see the project develop as time allows
