How Tom and Erich Became Friends

I don't particularly think anybody knows the story of how these two guys who were fighting on opposing sides become star-crossed friends. Well in this fanfic, I'm going to tell you that story.

After being shot down behind German lines, Nikki and her soldiers SURROUNDED Tom. Tom fired on the soldiers, killing one, but there were too many for him to handle. He soon ran out of ammo and he had no choice but to surrender.

"At long last, I FINALLY got you." Nikki smiled evilly with a sneer.
"I'll escape and I'll get you, you bitch!" Tom shouted as her soldiers tied his hands behind his back
"What are you going to do about it, now? I got you!" She said to Tom. Then she gave a command in German "Bring ihn in eine Zelle, damit er auf seinen Satz warten kann, und kneip ihn auch."

They dragged Tom to her base in Berlin where they tossed him into a holding cell and taped his mouth shut. They also tied his legs together with ropes. One black hedgehog in a German officers uniform looks at the guards and shakes his head in disapproval.

Over the course of the day the guards tortured Tom and beat up badly. But he was just about to get his lucky break. During the night, the guards guarding the door of his cell heard a noise and went to check it out leaving the cell unprotected. The black hedgehog went in.
Tom saw him come, "Mmmph! Mmmph!" He shouted in fear as he tried to back away.
"Shhh. Shhh. Shhh." The officer said, "I'm going to get you out of here. Please don't be frightened."
Tom had no choice but to trust him and he let the German Mobian untie him and uncuff his hands. Tom then removed the tape from his mouth and the two proceeded quietly to the nearest exit. They were soon out of the base and in the woods.

"Thanks for saving me... and helping me escape...." Tom said. "How can I repay you?"
The Black hedgehog said, "Well, I'd like to know your name."
"Tom... Tom Todd the Hedgehog" Tom replied.
"Leutnant Erich von Klugermann" Erich replied.

The two hugged each other and became friends before they went their seperate ways.

A few years later, The days of Nikki being evil had long passed and her sister Hilda would take what remained of her army.
