I see this and two things rush into my mind:
1) Good job, good sir! Looks like it would be an interesting racing animation. I like your usage of Arbaro, too. I'm always excited to see your new latest work, Tom!
2) Man, I wish could play an F-Zero game that looked like this! lol
Nice, man!

Nice trees. I am not quite sure what the artificial chute (?) is supposed to be though. Can you tell a little about the tree generator? Is it easy to tweak to generate unique trees? I use Cararra internal and it is not fabulous. A lot of bad topology in the generated trees.

Well, I used Arbaro to generate only the palm trees and bush-like trees you can see in the foreground. Ivys on the rocks and "the ark" were made using the Ivy generator of blender (Addons > Ivy Gen, Which is definitely a great tool, easy to use, easy to tweak, not far from beeing a drag and drop ivy generator sticking to any geometry, I also used it in this image for exemple, as well as blender's tree generator (addons > Sapling) : [link] ).
Arbaro is a great tool, it is free and you can pretty much do what you want .. I think. The interface is quite tricky to understand but you can load presets that are really helpful as starting points (The palm trees here are just a modified preset). But as it's free, it's definitly worth a try. And in addition to Blender's Sapling addon and Ivy Gen(Integrated), you're just 2 or 3 tutorials away form generating good looking trees, still, for free.

Thanks for the explanation. I tried it and it generates very nice trees indeed. The willow is really great. One small problem though; it seems to output a non-standard .obj format. I tried with my favourite programs Cararra and UVlayout but both complain about the .obj file. Blender seems to swallow it and can export a valid .obj file but it still takes really long to import to Cararra.

Nice. UDK or Cry level quality (i.e. very good). Textures and grunge are excellent, not to say the reflections.
May I suggest only to dim the blue panel lights a bit? They look very brilliant for a daylight, tropical scene.

i have two questions, how many time to render? what pc do you use? (please, give me a description of its components) thanks

I just re-rendered this, the rendering time lasts 7 minutes.
My PC: intel core i7 (first gen), Ram 6go, Ati radeon HD 5770.
(1,5 to 2 year old PC, could use more Ram and an Nvidia card with Cuda, >1.5go , Ti etc.. to render faster with cycles. Right now I just abandonnned the idea of rendering with cycles, if the scene gets a little complicated, without GPU it just takes forever to set up a scene with the CPU)

Thats pretty epic for Blender Internal!
Reminds me a bit of the scenery in FF-13.
Keep on the good work!
