Thank you. I have printed this on heavy watercolor paper and it really does look like a watercolor.

Pure colour. Pure light. You do the most spiritual Fractals I have seen over the years. Easy to meditate on I am sure. I would love to paste your work around my home!

This is beautiful. I loved how you've used darker colours near the centre and kept the lighter, pastel colours near the edges. Well done.

Oh, no, haha. Sorry. I do want to get one sometime, though. Do you sell in any stores?

TomWilcox In reply to xhearingxcolorsx [2010-02-05 10:05:20 +0000 UTC]

Oh, just wondering. You would think people would tell you if they buy a print.

xhearingxcolorsx In reply to TomWilcox [2010-02-05 18:42:14 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah. I would tell the artist, and thank him or her for creating such a beautiful work of art!!!
So I know fractals use really advanced mathematics, but I don't really understand how; How are they created?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TomWilcox In reply to xhearingxcolorsx [2010-02-05 20:00:03 +0000 UTC]

It is pretty difficult to explain in a few words. In short, it is a matter of plotting points based on a specific math formula. The fractal programs do the math but the user chooses a huge array of parameters. There are also "real time" adjustments that can be done after it appears. One can also write scripts, a set of instructions, that will produce an image. That image can also be tweeked.

Short of that, Google "fractals" to learn more.

Best regards,
Tom

I do not comment very often, but if I do I usually describe the way I see artwork. How it makes me feel. I never say just WOW. Everybody can say that. Where is details? What is WOW actually mean?
But I figured it out, because all I can say about your work is WOW!!!
It is magnificent!

Wow Tom this is amazing! I was wondering how you get it to look so smooth with Apophysis? I've been looking around in it for the last couple days but I can't get anything to look this good.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TomWilcox In reply to appleforlife [2009-12-14 12:32:32 +0000 UTC]

Well, be sure to set set scale to 12 or less Gamma at around 3.3 and Render to . . . . Filter Radius at .2, Oversample to 1.0, and quality to a minimum of 2000. Render larger and resize in Photoshop or ?

Good luck.

Hi Tom,

Just found your profile and I'm simply amazed by your images!

This particular "Virtual Decay" is the kind of image I'm looking for to decorate a wall in my mother's SPA.

Unfortunately the canvas that you sell here are too small for the size I needed to have.

Is there any chance that I could buy a digital version from which I could produce a canvas with 145cmx120cm?

Please let me know if we can find any solution to enjoy this print

my email is aanita@gmail.com
