Description
Here it is, the debut map for my new Alternate-Displacement Timeline named "The Great Deluge".
In this timeline, A freak asteroid struck the earth in 1845, starting a series of events that somehow merged multiple timelines into one. As a result, new countries emerged in every continent, destabilizing the balance of power and causing several colonial empires to fall.
For this map, we shall focus first on Europe, wherein tensions between the German Confederation and the First Internationale are now nearing a breaking point.

In the year 1914, fear is spreading all over the german states as the Paris Commune and the internationale gather their army and deployed them at their borders. The Chancellor of Prussia, Max von Baden, requested a meeting with the leaders of the other german state to discuss about the possibilities of uniting them into one country in the face of the socialist threat. Franz Joseph, the Emperor of Austria, was at first reluctant to accept the deal, fearing a possible Prussian domination of the central government. To show the Austrians that such thing isn't true, Wilhelm II proposed that the capital for the new German confederation is to be in the City of Frankfurt. Austria agreed and the talks continued.

At the east the Internationale, specifically Mahknovian or Anarchist Ukraine and Poland, is in a constant border war with the Russian Empire. which until now is refusing to deal to the intruders seriously as Tsar Nicholas II is too busy hiding in his palace from the angry Russian peasants. The image of the Tsar hiding from his own people is seen by the internationale as its victory over the autocratic government of Russia and a sign that the Russian government can easily be taken by pro-socialist workers, but they are all unaware from a certain politician that is slowly gaining influence in the government. This man is Alexander Kerensky, who in this timeline is a right-wing nationalist and a much more competent leader than the Tsar himself and has plans to remove the anarchic threat from the west once and for all.

In the Balkans, the Kingdom of Serbia leads the little entente which comprises of Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro and the Ottomans. Despite their ideological differences, they are united by the threat that the socialist states of Hungary, Illyria, and Ukraine imposes on them. It's no big secret that Illyria wants to conquer Serbia and Montenegro, and that Hungary and Ukraine wants to partition the Romanian lands, so they formed a military and economic alliance to counter the internationale and later on gain the support of the real Entente.

Just across the English channel lies the powerful British Empire, who despite losing its colonies to its natives, still maintained influence over them. The British are also the founding member of the Entente, followed by Sweden-Norway, the Kingdom of Spain, Portugal, and the Empire of the Two Sicilies. It is also within the UK that the legitimate government of France resides after being overthrown by the socialists in 1871. On the other hand, the United Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway stands as the guardian of Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea. They also own the third largest navy in the entire world, with the second and first places going to Malayan Confederation and the United Kingdom respectively. In the Italian Peninsula, the Empire of the Two Sicilies denied the Italian Unification, which created tensions between them and the Savoy-led Kingdom of Italy.
