The Pan Asia-Pacific Sphere, simply known as the Pacific Sphere, is a faction that comprises of the majority of East Asia and Southeast Asia.
The faction is led by the Royal Austronesian Confederation under the leadership of the Empire of Greater Tagalog and Unified Sumatra, and consists of nations that are de facto independent. However, the majority of nations within the faction have a government that is closely tied with the Tagalog Government, and are reliant on the Tagalogs in most cases.
Created in 2026 after the signing of the Treaty of Confederation between Unified Sumatra, the Kingdom of Singawa, and Zealandia, Greater Tagalog formed the Royal Austronesian Confederation after their violent three-year suppression and annexation of the independent Kingdom of Hawaii.
Ever since their victory over the FSRC in December of 2032, the Tagalogs were quick to establish several puppets over the former nation, with the largest of all being the Great Chinese State under the reformed Kuomintang Party. After their conquest of China, Austronesia sailed towards the east to launch a surprise invasion of Gloriyan and Zamasunia. With the Federation of Maldovia caught up with Konkan and Palestine, Gloriyan was practically left utterly defenseless against the Austronesians and surrendered after Osaka fell to Tagalog and Sumatran Forces. Meanwhile on the north, Zamasunia fought a brutal yet retreating battle against the Austronesians, but they were eventually pushed out of mainland Japan and collapsed on itself in the violent lands of Siberia.
To the south, the Conquest of New Starling and Australasia was easily done by Austronesia, as the former was rendered defenseless without Maldovia's support while the latter was in a civil war with pro-Austronesian Factions. By August 2034, All of East Asia and Oceania are pacified by Austronesia. All that was left for them to do is to cross the Pacific and invade the stubborn Mexican Empire and her remaining ally: Harvia.
On the early dawn of October 5, Harvian and Mexican soldiers in the Panama Canal found themselves being woken up by the sounds of Jet Engines, Bombs, and artillery fire. Tagalog and Sumatran forces found themselves back in Central America after withdrawing seven years ago. The amphibious landing itself was almost akin to that of D-Day, but after nearly three days of brutal fighting, Harvia and Mexico found themselves separated as Austronesian Forces finally managed capture the canal once more. A day after the fall of the Panama Canal, the New Independent Republic of Peru-Bolivia, Jamesreich, and Wilmoria joined the offensive against Harvia, which absolutely caught the them off-guard. Meanwhile up north, Mexico suffered a disastrous defeat against the Americans on the Battle of the Colorado, and was fighting a retreating battle that saw Mexico completely losing California to the Americans. meanwhile down south, Mexico was also fighting a retreating battle against the Austronesians, but they would manage to stop the Austronesians in the Battle of Tapachula. On February 2035, Mexico finally managed to halt the American advance in Durango and Monterrey, and would be locked in a brutal war of attrition for several months.
On the other hand, Harvia finally surrenders after a coup that overthrew the Maldovian Monarch and declared independence from the Maldovian Commonwealth. In Africa, on the other hand, the remaining Entente Powers of Hellworld, New Joaland, Zaire, Minnland, and Ettele-Africa finally agreed to surrender to the Axis Powers on July 4, 2035. Maldovia, on the other hand, would continue to resist until 2040.
With Europe and Asia finally subjugated under the boot of the Axis Powers, Mexico practically stood alone against the entire world. But rather than surrender, Mexico chose to continue resisting the Axis advances to its heartland, and by September the Americans are 80 KM away from Mexico City. As the Mexicans prepare for another defense of their capital, they would soon realize that such a battle would never arrive, and in just one day their spirits was crushed by an unexpected event that shocked even the other members of the axis. On September 11, 2035, a lone Tagalog Bomber flew over the Mexican Capital and dropped a Thermonuclear Bomb, effectively annihilating Mexico's Government and their own spirit to resist against the Axis. When the Americans and other axis troops saw the bright flash and the rising mushroom cloud they were angered and shocked by the bombing, and this immediately marked the day the unity within the Eastern and Western Axis collapsed. The remnants of Mexico's Government immediately surrendered the day after the bombing, ending the Third World War.
The Treaty of Rome that was signed in October 2, 2035 saw the end of hostilities and the largest geopolitical shift ever since the days of the Mongol Empire. The Main Trio of the Imperium, Conexus America, and Austronesia divided the world into their own spheres of influence, with Austronesia gaining the largest one out of the other two: the entirety of East Asia and the Pacific. Pro-Austronesian states are established all over East Asia, with the most notable being the Manchurian Empire, the Australian Empire, and the Kingdom of Jiyasumin-Korefa that are headed by their former Royal Families now loyal to the Tagalog Crown. in the former lands of Soviet Gorgonzola now stands the Great Chinese State, the Republic of Yunnan, and the Mongolian Autonomous Government. Both are headed by a puppet Prime Minister, with the Tagalog Crown and Government having a say on the state's budget, resource management, and industry. Up north is the vassal-state of the Far-Eastern Republic, which in reality is what remains of the great Zamasunian Empire that was balkanized by Austronesia after their surrender in 2034, and just southeast of them is the Empire of Gloriyan, a former pacifist member of Maldovia that has now been restored to its imperialist ways, albeit under the direct control of Empress Haato, one of the daughters of Sultan Hasanuddin of Unified Sumatra. In southern and eastern China, Military Administrations and Economic zones are created to help the Austronesians maintain control and monopolize the trade and resources in the region. In the Americas, the Austronesians managed to annex Baja California and the entirety of Costa-Rica and Panama, once again cementing their domination of the pacific.
To fully compliment their hold of East Asia and the Pacific the Austronesian Confederation owns the largest and Most Advanced Military in the entire world, with Greater Tagalog's navy alone being the second largest in the entire world. Unified Sumatra, while being below the Tagalogs, holds the largest Nuclear Arsenal in East Asia (which the Tagalogs rely on as much as they boast about their military might) as it was a Sumatran Nuke that ended the Third World War in 2035.
In diplomacy, the only former axis nations that Austronesia and her sphere has relations with is Greater Konkan and James-Reich. For the rest like the Solaris Imperium and Arabia, Austronesia has blocked any form of trade and relations with them, but Conexus America is a special case.
Conexus America and her Pax Americana Faction is the main rival of Austronesia when it comes to dominating the Pacific, with the two entering both a Cold War and a Nuclear Arms race with each other. Both also attempt to destabilize each other by funding rebellions and separatists movements in each other's territories, and in 2044 had a Missile Crisis that almost brought the two global giants into an open nuclear conflict.
Economically, Austronesia is dominated by semi-feudal economic conglomerates headed by Traditional Oligarchs. They were created at the end of the 2049 by putting these powerful families, which had sided with the Tagalog and Sumatran Crown during the Third World War, in charge of Austronesia's burgeoning industry and bank sectors. During the following decades, these conglomerates have only expanded, and now dominate Austronesia's economy by owning almost every industry in both the Confederation and its allies. During the war, the Oligarchs have developed a close relationship with the government and the various branches of the armed forces, which ensured they received all the contracts for the increasing supply needs of the war effort.
However, many observers point out that Japan's economy is parasitic in nature: while it doesn't reach the levels of cruelty and depravation found in some of the Solarian Vassal States, Austronesia' industry is fueled by natural resources stripped at an abysmal price from its "allies" (or more fittingly, "puppets"), who are then forced to buy the finished products from Austronesia's industries at absurdly high prices. This policy is further enforced by actively preventing any of the allied countries (with the exception of Manchuria, Korefa, Gloriyan, and the economic zones) from developing an actual industrial sector: any fledgling industry is quickly crushed by the combined might of the Oligarchs. This policy has brought great discontent among the lower classes of Austronesia's sphere members, and resistance groups are increasing their sabotage actions against Austronesian assets in their countries. Should an actual revolt explode, this might block raw material supply for the Confederation's industries, with disastrous consequences.
Also, a new economic faction is trying to wrest the mantle of economic primacy from the Oligarchs: the Neoliberals. More dynamic and versatile than the Oligarchs, they managed to carve their own share of the market despite active opposition from the Oligarchs, which have formed cartels in order to force the Neoliberals out of the market and even have the support of both the Government and the Tagalog Crown and its allies, but despite all of these the Neoliberals are still going strong and won't go out of business anytime soon.
An economic war on an unprecedented scale looms over Austronesia and, if nothing is done to stop it from happening, would lead to largest geopolitical and economical disaster in history.
