I like this. I'm a fan of big contrast and this image is perfect in that sense. It has good flow, the street drags your eye to the left and then you come right back up the street via the buildings until you turn back down the street again. I would like to see a bit more separation from the roof tops to the sky but if it was a really dark night it might have been unavoidable. The.. doorway? on the far right is REALLY dark and you kind of get sucked into the blackness maybe a portable flash pop would do some good there. But otherwise great job! cool shot!

Cheers!
C

Thank you! At the time the sky was a shiity grey (it was raining) so I felt I had to darken it, as for the doorway it's painted black anyway. Don't thimk it's used much so leaving it dark gives it a little sense of menace nice shops and restaurant ,then the unknown doorway.....

Very nice image with very contrasting and vivid light from lampposts. The wet cobblestones look very bright in that night, and the shop signs look awesome too. Though it is a bit regrettable that the roofs can't be more visible and are a bit "eaten" by the night shadows.

I know, just it was a shitty sky so had to darken the top of the photo which, unfortunately lost some of the detail.

There is a reason why there was no one out to play. It is too lovely of a shot to have been missed.
