Description I was doing a series of acrobatic tricks and someone managed to get this action shot of me. Someone suggested that this looked similar to Chun Li's Spinning Bird kick move (with hands).
I wish my left leg was straight, however action shots are hard to capture especially because this one was on a digital camera I think. I've decided my goal is to get more photographs of me as Chun Li doing acrobatics (like Chun Li would pull off) and to post them up here. So enjoy!

That picture made me wanna play SSF4 again... Too bad i sold my XBox!! I won a PS2, but i don't know if there is SSF4 for it... Anyway, pretty acurate cosplay, you really look like Chun Li (even if you're not chinese... actually, i like it that way!), a beautiful and strong girl! This Spinning Bird Kick should be on Youtube... lol

Action shots are very easy to capture, *especially* on a digital camera. It just has to be something other than a lame ass slowpoke compact. It's beyond me why people bother with these at this day and age when older, second hand DSLRs are so cheap nowadays...

Very nice costume, glad to see you got the boots right. It's just sad how many cosplayers use hooker-style high heeled boots for Chunny
Just add brown or reddish (SFIV style) pantyhose and it'll be perfect

I always suck at capturing action shots on digital - always turns out blurry.. haha. *Nods head* Yea I love using DSLRs much better than digital (obviously).
Thanks! I'm glad someone else shares the same view as me. I tried to be as true to Chun Li as I could with my costume. And the way I see her is she is a martial arts fighter not a hooker. I wanted to be a more "original" chun li not the over-sexualised chun li haha
Yea the tights had to be THE MOST hardest thing to find/get right in the cosplay. The thing is, I'm not sure how I would obtain those coloured tights she has... any ideas?

The way I see Chunny's costume, it's just for show during a fighting tournament. Much like costumes real life wrestlers wear, for instance. It's spectacular while showing off her national/cultural background. Nothing hookerific about it, and I blame that stupid Van Damme movie for putting this kind of association in some people's heads :/ BTW the boots are old-fashioned tall boxing/wrestling boots. I've even found photos of the exact model some time ago. Long discontinued though.

As for the tights, try American Apparel. That's where my got hers, and they're just about a perfect match. Quite opaque and thus decent, too, lol. They look like this: [link] and [link]

You can also use common black pantyhose, it will look great too, sort of old SF2 and SSF2T style. More accurate than bare legs, for sure. Just make sure you don't get something with a color/density change at the top portion. Not that it's a terrible flaw, it just looks more accurate without that.
