I love all the old bands.. they bring back great memories...I was going to enter this in the contest but then deceided against it because the paper got a bit dirty and couldn't get it clean...

I nicknamed the Partridge Family as the Byrds, yet those two bands we're popular in the 60's, just heard "Turn,Turn, Turn". a few minutes ago. Groovy song.

I really hate to be one of those 'I'm x years old and love y band!' kids, but I'm 14 and The Byrds are one of my all time favourite bands

I like them too. I usually don't even listen to music newer than the 80's. I like the 60's and 70's music the best.

They had great Surf Pods(a little bit shaggier than a mop top) I had one briefly couldnt see where I was going most of the time kept walking into postboxes lol.

Reminds me a little of Revolver Cover art ..I'm a Byrdaholic , Is guy at top Gene Clark(My Fave Byrd) or Crosby..? I tend to think of the Classic 5 piece line up , but they were great when Clark left too I love the stuff with Gram Parsons also as he's a big hero of mine .

The Byrds are one of my all time fave bands I dont think they get half the credit they deserve, they invented so many different forms of music ..and I wish I could grow my hair like that again but alas lol

Wow..this is very cool because with only a few strokes and shadows, you've rendered very good the facial features of this band...I read some of the comments, and as soon as I read "The Byrds" the song turn turn turn immediately popped inside my head also..I used to listen to a lot of those bands when my parents played their vinyl records..the album they had was the one with a blue background and I think all of them were wearing sunglasses..and blue jeans like shirts...they had a huge collection also of Janis Joplin, John Mayall, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppellin, George Harrison, Grand Funk, Joe Cocker and even a record of Barbara Streisand and Kriss Kristofferson, the sountrack of the movie "A star is born" I think..with the intro song 'watch closely now..' yep...great bands indeed...music that will never fade for sure

thankyou so much, your parents sound like they have the same taste in music as myself... yes, I grew up with all that music and much more as my father was a piano player and singer, my three brothers were and are musicians and I sang... so I grew up with my brothers playing, drums, guitar, and bass in the house all my life... my oldest brother Dale played lead guitar for The Guess Who for 17 years... he lives in Nashville and writes and directs music.. in fact he directed and produced a concert for raising money for The Cancer Foundation in the states... lots of big movie stars and players..... anyway, thankyou so much for the comment and the song, Turn, Turn, Turn, I just love

My favorite actor is probably Allan Rickman, he's just so fabulous! My favorite singer is David Bowie- he is also fabulous. Though my three favorite voices are Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, and Josh Groban ^_^ And I looove Styx, they're my favorite band. I'm into the stuff that came before my time, hehe ^_^ And with drawing I like to make my own styles up, like that one scrap of mine with the girl and the butterfly- she is a character from a game, but I drew her in my own cuter style.

aw yes, I agree that Allan Rickman is fabulous and the music before your time was the best ever..... don't get me wrong, there is alot of good music out there today but so much crap out there as well.... I am sorry but I am one of these people who can't stand people with no talent (Brittany Spears and the like) as there are so many out there now with none and it amazes me that they make it big.... guess money talks...or something... I love all the old bands and the old music..... can't get enough...

i found a lot of contests on DA to be really quite limiting, i think you will end up with some much greater pieces if you give them some freedom to experiment

I totally agree... I have seen other contests but I have never entered any until now because I really loved your theme and the fact that you could enter more then one... which to me just gives me the greatest excuse to draw all my favorite bands and such.... thankyou so much for that alone..
