Too bad. The pilot episode, at least, was solidly entertaining and exceeded my expectations. Definitely a lot of the Batman Begins vibe going on, but that wasn't a bad thing. Unlike Bruce, Oliver a) will kill if necessary, and b) still has most of his blood family around. The fight scenes were surprisingly well done for a network TV show (esp for the CW). It doesn't look like it will have Smallville's shoe-string budget, as the production value on this show looks a lot higher. All in all, I thought Arrow had a great pilot episode and will be watching the next episode on Wednesday night. So, I'd recommend you give it a chance by watching it before shooting down outright. My two cents ...

No it's suppose to Green Arrow, the character from DC comics, his name is Oliver Queen and everything. They're just trying to make it more realistic and darker.

In the comic books, Oliver Queen's favorite hero was robin hood. So he is supposed to be very similar to robin hood because of that. However I do hope that they update Arrow's outfit to look more like the new 52 version since it looks more modern.
