Heya~ Well, as you've probably noticed, I haven't done any real work with more humanized Disney characters in a while, and I think a lot of the people who watch me really enjoyed my humanized versions of Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians.

So, I decided the least I could do to fill this void of completed humanized-Disney works is to submit these sketches of a possible humanized Dumbo.

Dumbo's a baby elephant so I though it was sensible to portray him as a baby/toddler here.
Now the tricky part. Dumbo's most characteristic feature is his ears (so he can fly). Unlike the Disney dogs, I couldn't humanize his elephant ears to normal sized human ears or play them off with artistic hair shapes. So...as you can see, he just has really large human ears. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just thought that was how I'd proceed if I were to make a human Dumbo. And I think he's still pretty cute. :]

Now, Timothy Q. Mouse. He's obviously older than Dumbo, but I thought it'd be fun to make him much smaller than humanized Dumbo; to keep the elephant/mouse size ratio going. I haven't decided if Dumbo, Ms. Jumbo (his mom) and the other elephants are human giants or if Timothy is like a male Thumbelina yet...but I just really liked the size/height difference between the two.
Plus if Dumbo's going to fly and carry Timothy, he'll have to be much smaller than the youngster.

So, those are my ideas for a humanized Dumbo. :]
