Ravenpelt is a Featherclan warrior, the son of Constantine and Moonshadow. His parents split up not long after he was born, and Ravenkit was coddled and spoiled by his mother. He became smug and self centered as a result, and as an apprentice and young warrior, this just got worse. Constantine tried to step in several times to correct his behavior, but Ravenpelt paid him no mind.

As a young warrior, Ravenpelt had a fling with a young Fireclan she-cat named Applesnap, and ended up having kits with her. He convinced his clan that his kits belonged in Featherclan, and ended up claiming one of them, Redkit, for the clan. However, Ravenpelt paid his daughter no attention, allowing her to be raised by the clan instead. Ravenpelt later took Cherryeye as a mate, but the pretty she-cat broke up with him when his behavior didn't approve.

Ravenpelt remained a smug and arrogant warrior for a long time, but things changed after he was attacked by Icestar and nearly died. As he lay in the medicine den, weak and in pain, Ravenpelt was visited by Constantine, and they had a heart to heart talk, where Ravenpelt finally began to connect with his father. When he was was eventually released from the medicine den, Ravenpelt became more serious about his duties, and was more open and friendly. He began to make friends, and even reached out to Redthistle and Cherryeye, reconciling with them as well. Ravenpelt had finally become the warrior Constantine knew he could be, and he couldn't be prouder of his son
