"But...It's storming and I can't sleep 'cause I'm scared..." The younger boy was shaking in the doorway, the occasional combination of lightning and thunder illuminated his scared, tearstained face. He jumped when the thunder rumbled, causing him to tremble more, the tears falling freely.
Itachi sighed, running a hand through his long hair. a"Well, what do you want me to do about it?" He propped himself up in bed, looking at his little brother, who was shifting slightly. "Nii-san...do you think I could crawl in bed with you?" Itachi looked at Sasuke emotionlessly, then rolled his eyes and waved him over. Sasuke sniffed and grinned, scurrying across the bedroom floor, crawling beneath the covers of the bed and curling into a ball against his older brother. "Thanks, 'Tachi-san." Itachi looked down at his sibling as he drifted off to sleep, a spark of fondness igniting for a second, the fading. "Sweet dreams, little brother." he murmured before he too, fell victim to the thick veils of sleep.
