Description
The title is the name of a local wine, made from old indigenous and Austrian grapes (Valderbara, red and green Veltliner, Vernaza and Nosiola): in local parlance it means white wine of Serso. Until a few years ago it had no official name, it was simply the white wine produced at home. A few decades ago, two local winemakers stopped off on a trip at a pretentious restaurant. The sommelier pompously presented the wine list, whereupon one of them ordered Blanc de Sers, partly in jest and partly out of irritation at the sommelier's haughtiness. The sommelier, mistaking it for a French name, panicked and after consulting his colleagues apologised to the customers, saying that they had run out. Back home, the two good-tempered men thought about the episode and decided that after all, they could really enhance the local wine, taking care of the winemaking with modern methods. Today their dream has become reality: cin cin!
