Concept art for a new Hive enemy I made for a university project, made to be part of a fanmade Hive themed expansion for the game Destiny.

The Bard is harmless. A low ranking Hive who have wronged a Wizard, or happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, who has been sentenced to a great punishment. These flesh-eating bugs adore the taste of the Hive and follow them across the universe, the Bard is chosen as the nest for these creatures, where they carve out its very flesh to feed their own. When the Bard screams, these bugs are upset and wildly attacks all beings in the vicinity, be they Hive or Guardian. The Bard is in constant pain and trapped in place, waiting for their slow and inevitable deaths. Perhaps it would just be humane to end their wretched lifes?
