Oblongata is an accounting firm in my CHAOS story, it's linked to all the technology companies such as Lebenstech, Morder-Approxim etc. Two of the officers from Chaos Phase 2 worked there before, but only as regular staff before they resigned. It's a humble looking building. However in future years, a professor discovered a series of grid paths floating around the premises of the firm, it was accessed by his sysops which had corrupted code. Reddish wires of code that revealed the true structure of the building. There was no uproar, no press conference. The info was published on 30 websites before the guy died in the same place, his body was neatly sliced and his sysops was gone.

Oblongata is known for it's occasional dabbling in new technology, mostly for archiving data discreetly. They funded Cloud_Storm, a popular voice-activated hidden dropbox which uses land coordinates to hide a certain chunk of info anywhere in the world.

They didn't say that Cloud_Storm is the distractive nice version of their illegal program: cloud_scram, which pulls in data by force via parallel grids. Think of it as internet that can punch your face and steal your shoes. People in the company like encrypting shit and locking up their loyal sysops in large areas of nothing. Esquire Para cannot materialize out of the grid even though it lives in our world via Parallel. It could see people but is unable to interact with them. Everything is reversed, people look like sysops with graphic flaws.
