The Continent class dreadnought is one of the strongest ships of the line in service of the Republic Stellar Navy, forming the core of large battle navies. With its capacity for an army, it can perform planetary invasions of a continental scale by itself.

Passive defense consists of modular layered hull armor, which has been enhanced against energy weapons, refracting up to 75% of their energy. The hull is uniformly 4m thick. The armor is modular in nature, so it can be upgraded when need be. Further defense comes from a short-range EM shield, which disperses and spreads charged particles and objects, lessening their effect on the armor.

Active shield is three-layered. The closest layer is a general barrier, which deflects particles and waves with equal efficiency, though this is the weakest of all layers, and thus an "emergency" layer.
The second layer is a magneto-kinetic shell, which acts like a physical barrier against solid matter and charged particles.
The outermost layer is the gravokinetic screen, which pinches c. 2m of realspace into a 1mm layer. Any matter entering this layer is squashed and shredded, but the added mass is kept inside the pinched space until it has traveled the bent space as shrapnel, or until the shield is discharged. Beams of all nature are bent and refracted, messing with the targeting. However, the GKS is a fortress shield, meaning the effect acts upon both parties. The GKS can be used as a bubble shield or as quick "plates." These plates pinch a linear portion of space at any sector of the ship, giving protection. At peak capacity, a hundred such plates can be supported for 5s each at a time. Thus in battle captains must both defend against an aggressor and make sure he has an open firing ark.
Active defenses include hundreds of small mass accelerators, missiles and blasters providing a screen against incoming projectiles, guided munitions and hostile aircraft.

Supplies can last the maximum evacuation complement for one year. The ships cargo facilities carry most of the consumables, but there is also a significant synthmeat plant (where real meat is artificially grown in non-sentient blobs) and a large hydroponics bay. The food plants are redundant for biologies differing chiralities and special food requirements. AutAl (auto-alchemist) technology can reproduce most needed products, as long as raw materials are available (though some do not fully trust this technology, as even tiny errors can have drastic consequences). The autals can also produce munitions at a staggering pace.
The ship has the possibility of harvesting asteroids for usable raw materials for the AutAls and the capability of harvesting H, H2 and He-3 from multiple sources (e.g. upper atmosphere of a gas giant).

Your shields appear to be a lot weaker than your weapons.  Four orders of magnitude weaker, in fact, but your description doesn't really imply they're worthless against all but the weakest weapons...

Also, I think your acceleration might be too low.  Your mass is 75,000,000 tons.  Presuming they're metric tons, that's 7.5E10 kilograms.
Thrust from all the main engines put together is 7.2E18 watts, and a watt is a kilogram * meter / second 

So take 7.2E18 kilogram * meter / second against 7.5E10 kilograms and dividing out the kilograms gives us an acceleration of 9.6E7 meters/second  That's almost 10 *million* Gs...

At least I think it is.  Converting acceleration to joules is hard, yo...

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD stats here, most likely written in the wee hours of morn.

Trying to rework the entire fleet.
And my idea for shields has been to redirect more than try to stop them, at least with the primary.  The "traditional" shield is a last resort before hull armor.

I've had this idea of the ships pinching a bit of space to mess with the trajectory of beams and projectiles so they'd either be shredded by the forces involved or have the trajectory moved just enough to completely miss the ship.  And since these pinch areas can be stacked (depending on the power of the ship), it'd provide great defence against heavy weapons. 
The downside would be the relative ease of overwhelming the system with multiple attackers.

The mass has been a tough one for me.  I can't even remember the formula I calculated it.  Simplified volume times a fraction of the density of iron, IIRC.  A ship's volume is made up of varying elements, most of them metals, liquids, gasses and carbon.

It practically is. Currently going through a redesign project.
Size would be about the same, basic design philosophy for the DN would be similar (armored wedge), but I'm still going through a basic design process. My engineering OCD is making things slow, though I like to plan thoroughly, starting from the main structural lattice.
