Part 5 of my Hanna-Barbera action tribute series.

Ah, the Impossibles... of all the action cartoons Hanna-Barbera released, nay, all the cartoons Hanna-Barbera released during the 60s, this one really has a place in my heart. With their trademark catchphrase of "Rally-ho!", the Impossibles pose as a well known Beatlesque rock group. But when trouble calls, usually when their boss Big D informs them, they become Coilman, Multiman, and Fluidman - heroes that defy matter of impossible proportions, taking down wacky villains one after another! (Like Atom Ant before them.) After its run, and like I mentioned in a previous deviation, it sort of came back in 1978... and it wasn't good AT ALL! If you thought My Bedbugs being unscrupulously mutated into the Oogieloves was a total disgrace, you won't survive Super Globetrotters. Trust me, it's not worth it!

Even with that setback, as a kid, I always wanted the Impossibles to be revived, and sure enough, it did when Future Quest came around. Future Quest basically made them even better! Not only do they have modern redesigns as well as new fourth member in the form of the lovely Cobalt, their power's aren't just for crimefighting in real life, but also for added effects in both their web series and concerts! (And yes, even in that incarnation, even they thought "Rally-Ho!" wasn't the best catchphrase. But hey, it has its charm.) Basically, if someone took the concept of the Impossibles from Future Quest and made it into their own series, I'd sign up in a heartbeat! Dynamite Entertainment has been doing well with other Warner Bros. properties, maybe they can make the impossible possible too! Still, all in all, The Impossibles has always been one of my all-time favorites, and is a definite (not to mention underrated) recommendation worth checking out if you need a classic superhero series to watch.
